Performance is highly reliant on proper management of negative stressors, including
disease, transportation and stocking density. Historically, these stressors have been managed through
the use of sub-therapeutic in-feed antibiotics, however, the move to a global reduction in the use of
antibiotic compounds will dictate a concomitant reduction in livestock feeds.
