Canadian Bio-Systems has announced the addition of a new international sales representative to its expanding team servicing the fast-rising South American livestock sectors.

Agriculture industry veteran Xavier Temple has built extensive experience and networks over the course of 27 years working with industry and the farm gate. His career has included a particularly strong focus on the swine business, including many years involved with genetics and related performance-oriented innovations. Temple makes his CBS Inc. debut at the World Pork Expo, June 8-10.

“Xavier is well established in the industry both domestically and internationally and brings a wealth of insight, experience and relationships to our team,” says Owen Jones, President of CBS Inc. “South America is in on the cusp of further tremendous advancement and innovative feed technologies are a key element to capturing the opportunities ahead. We are pleased to welcome Xavier as a valuable addition to our growing team servicing this and broader international markets.”

The Chilean born long-time Manitoban immigrated to Canada as a teenager and in addition to private business ventures has enjoyed a long career in a variety of roles serving producers and industry.

“We have known Xavier a long-time and he has known us and many of our customers and affiliates a long-time,” says Mark Peters, Director of Sales and Marketing for CBS Inc. “Bringing him on board is a natural fit as we further ramp-up our international capacity to service the expanding opportunities for CBS Inc. products. His drive to deliver science-based solutions that make a real difference on the farm is a great fit with our culture and team. He brings a lot to help us tackle the opportunities ahead.”

Temple is multi-lingual with broad experience and understanding of the unique evolving requirements of production in South America, Central America and Mexico, among other world regions. While his primary focus will be South America, along with Central America and Mexico, a portion of Temple’s portfolio will also crossover to assisting the CBS Inc. team in Canada, the U.S. and additional international markets.

“It’s really remarkable how far agriculture has come since I started in this industry. It has been a fun journey with many great people along the way,” says Temple. “But what’s truly exciting is the opportunity before us today. I couldn’t be more pleased to join a team at CBS Inc. that is helping producers and industry get to the next level with science-based innovation. Feed technology is a rising area of advancement for the future and CBS is a pioneer and leader. I look forward to working across the board with the CBS team, its network, affiliates and customers in this new position.”

Among key technologies, Temple will be involved with multi-carbohydrase enzyme products, nucleotides, unique yeast-derived options and more. All CBS Inc. feed supplement options are bio-based technologies representing a natural way to improved profitability through approaches that fit today’s marketplace trends and demands.
